A good choice of plants will give much pleasure later. If you select the right plants, you will have little maintenance and your garden will have flowering plants throughout the year. The varied range will always enable you to find suitable plants and your garden centre will be happy to advise you.

• Do you have a dry, sunny spot on sandy ground or a wet and shady corner of peat soil? With the right choice of plants these spots will turn out fine all the same. On the back of the labels you can always read if the plant grows best in sunny spots or in the shade. The application of the plant is also indicated on the label: e.g. border plant or ground-covering plant.

• The flowering period is indicated on the label. If you plant several varieties, you can have flowers in your garden year-round, even in winter. You may decide to have a border of plants comprising one or two colours or compose a multicoloured mixture of flowers. The plants in blue pots with the wave-shaped label are often sorted according to colour at the garden centre.

• Make sure that the taller plants are planted at the back and the shorter ones are planted in front. The height of the plant is indicated on the back of the label.
