And the winner is..!

In category ‘Best Market Release’ Griffioen Wassenaar BV Vasteplantenkwekerijen wins the award with their perennial concept Wild & Inheems at PLANTARIUM|GROEN-Direkt.

Key points in the assessment are: Shelf life, availability, responsible product and compatibility with current market needs. The jury consists of international experts.

The perennial concept Wild & Inheems of Griffioen Wassenaar consists entirely of a range of wild and native perennials that naturally belong in the Netherlands. The concept has been developed in cooperation with wildflower seed supplier Cruydt-Hoeck and IVN Natuureducatie. The aim of this collaboration is to bring the value of native plants for Dutch biodiversity to the attention of consumers. The assortment is carefully composed and grown in their own nursery and meets several criteria for sustainability including PlanetProof certification. The plants are delivered in taupe colored pots and trays made of 100% recycled plastic, with photo-label. After a pilot in 2021, these native plants will be available in 2022 at several garden and green centers in the Netherlands and some garden centers in Belgium. Expansion is still possible before 2023. Griffioen Wassenaar from Boskoop will market the concept and has also submitted it for inspection.
